Hi, i'm Jonc (Yon-tz not Jones)
And if you read my url with English pronunciation you learn how to say 'thank you' in Polish.
19-years-old, artsy.
Blog? Depeche Mode, Mika, The Rasmus, H.I.M. and everything else - starting with bunnies, ending with Marcel Duchamp.
So, I met Mika on Oxford Circus and asked him if he could write me a word ‘tranquility’ as it is very important for me - it’s from Depeche Mode’s song ‘Waiting for the Night’. I tattooed it on my left hand, as I am left-handed. I have the hand-writing of my biggest inspirator on the hand which I create with. I feel proud.

Later, I go into the bar with Turner for what I hear him describe to the other band members as “a solo”. I’m ready with the money but he pays for the beer out of his own pocket. For an occasionally cocky frontman with an occasional foul mouth and furious guitar, there’s an ethereal, almost gravity-defying quality about the man himself, twisting in his chair, floating in his thoughts. Turner exhibits a sort of double jointed-ness of both body and mind, as if he might metamorphose into a puff of smoke or ring-tailed lemur should the notion occur to him. A kind of human slinky, he looks like he could turn around inside his Highly Evolved T-shirt without taking it off or even touching the sides, and with his long, wavy hair and big brown horse eyes, it would be churlish to deny that he is a creature of beauty.”

— Simon Armitage, interviewing Al himself.

Gahore: when musicians are soulmates…

Not got into slash of this “pairing” as I get a bit sqiggly about rpf. But it IS a pairing, undoubtedly - just take a look at the above. Read the quotes.

These guys live in totally different cities and have their own families. They don’t socialise, unless it is coming together to make their music.

But it’s that beautiful. That love, that connection, that partnership - spanning across decades - is what makes their music so wonderful.
